Join us at Candela Books + Gallery on Tuesday, May 7th to celebrate the release of Virginia Pye’s debut novel, River of Dust with a reception, reading, and book signing.

River of Dust
tells the story of an American missionary couple in rural China in 1910 whose toddler son is kidnapped by Mongol bandits and whose search for him across a dangerous land comes to haunt them, changing not only what they believe but who they are.

River of Dust is an Indie Next Pick for May, 2013!

Virginia Pye’s award-winning short stories have appeared in numerous literary magazines, including The North American Review, Failbetter, The Baltimore Review and Tampa Review. She holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence and taught writing at New York University, The University of Pennsylvania and helped run a literary non-profit in Richmond, Virginia for years.
